Nordic Nano Group is a private renewable-energy company built around nanotechnology – and now around the solid-state battery developed by Donut Lab. The founders hold the majority of the shares, but Donut Lab’s July 2025 investment opens the door to mass production. According to Donut Lab, its all-solid-state battery does away with liquid electrolytes and reaches an energy density of 400 Wh/kg – which would enable longer range for EVs and lighter packs for aircraft. According to Donut Lab, the battery charges fully in five minutes, lasts up to 100,000 cycles and keeps over 99% of its capacity at −30 °C (−22 °F). Globally this could transform EVs, aviation and renewable energy storage – fewer fire risks, longer lifespan and faster charging for everyone. The investment strengthens Nordic Nano Group’s position in nanotechnology and brings a solid-state solution to market – the world’s energy is getting more sustainable!
